Coppa Aperta Piantana
Design: Ignazio Gardella & Corrado Corradi Dell'Acqua.
Designed in 1954, Coppa Aperta embodies the Milanese design cleverness of the 1950s. Utlizing the same simple industrial glass used to illuminate the old trams of the city of Milan, the two designer friends created a timeless piece, capable even today of evoking memories of happy and carefree times aboard the convoys running noisily through Milan's city streets.
Supported by a brass structure, the prismatic diffuser distributes light evenly throughout a room, creating a soft atmosphere with an inviting glow. In Marble, Brass, and Glass. Made in Italy.
